Mazda 25th Anniversary Miata Debuts in New York
In honor of the Miata's 25th birthday, Mazda will debut a special edition model complete with a retuned engine and unique design touches. Under the hood, Mazda uses lightweight premium parts on the engine to boost its performance. Bilstein dampers are standard on models equipped with the six-speed manual transmission. New modifications promise a more responsive driving experience and a heartier engine note. For this 2015 model, Mazda has given the new Miata a deep Soul Red Metallic paint job with contrasting black A-pillars. Black 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, black bezels, and a black power retractable hard top complete the look. The interior continues the same theme of contrast. Almond leather seats mingle with piano black accents as well as a black leather steering wheel, armrests, and shift lever. The interior also features special 25th Anniversary badging all around. The 25th Anniversary model goes on sale later this spring, and buyers can pre-order through Mazda USA.com. More information on this process will be revealed in the coming weeks, Mazda says. But those interested better buy quick, as only 100 copies will be sold. After that comes an all-new generation Miata, which will feature significant changes to the chassis when it debuts for the 2016 model year. Source: Mazda
