2015 Cadillac XTS Boosts Connectivity, Luxury, and Safety
General Motors is updating many brands and vehicles for the 2015 model year, and the latest is the 2015 Cadillac XTS. With more connectivity, luxury, and safety features, the new XTS has become the brand's most technologically advanced production car. Cadillac has added OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in WiFi and a revised rear-seat armrest with radio and sunshade controls--standard on Platinum and Platinum Vsport models--for added connectivity. For extra comfort, the new 2015 XTS features power-adjustable 22-way seats with heating, ventilation, and massage, available on the Platinum models. Added to that, the 2015 Cadillac XTS offers two new exterior colors, Cocoa Bronze Metallic and Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic, while the interior has two color/trim combinations for added customization. The Luxury models will also feature a 19-inch painted aluminum wheel design, while the Platinum models will offer a polished finish to the wheels. The 2015 Cadillac XTS Vsport models will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 that pumps out 410 horses and 369 lb.-ft. of torque. On standard models, power comes from a 3.6-liter V-6 with 305 horsepower and 264 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines will be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with tap-shift control. In the safety department, the new XTS has earned a 5-Star overall crash safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, thanks to new technology. A Driver Awareness package, which comes standard on Premium and Platinum models, offers a safety alert seat, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, side blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision alert. A Driver Assist package comes standard on Platinum models and is available on the Premium models. It adds on full-speed range adaptive cruise control and front and rear automatic braking.
