Audi A3 Clubsport Quattro Concept Wows Fans
Later this month, the new Audi A3 will undergo the Worthersee treatment, replacing its current 295 horsepower four-cylinder engine for the almost 520 horsepower 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. With a top speed of 192 mph, the Audi A3 Clubsport Quattro Concept will go from 0-62 mph in just 3.6 seconds. Right now, the 2.5-liter turbocharged, direct-injection five-cylinder engine is available in the RS Q3 and has been named "International Engine of the Year" four years running. "The Audi A3 Clubsport Quattro concept shows our car and tuning fans at the Worthersee just how much sporty potential there is in the A3 family and in our top-of-the-line engines such as the 2.5 TFSI," said Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, member of the Board of Management for Technical Development. Based off the MQB platform, the concept features a seven-speed S tronic transmission, which helps improve fuel economy. With three drive modes and paddle shifters, the driver can create their ideal setup to suit their style of driving. With seating comfortably for four, the Clubsport Quattro features front row racing seats with open-worked backrests to visually express the model's lightweight construction. The interior features a predominantly black interior with Sepang Blue contrast stitching and grey piping. This year, the motto at the Worthersee meeting was "Audi Sport," and Audi delivered with the A3 Clubsport Quattro concept. Source: Audi
