Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell Arrives in the U.S.
The first Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell crossovers made their way to the U.S. this week, and customers in California will soon be able to get their hands on one. The hydrogen-powered vehicle will start rolling out to customers in Southern California "within the next several weeks." At this time, three dealerships in the Los Angeles/Orange County region will carry the fuel cell vehicle: Tustin Hyundai, Win Hyundai in Carson, and Hardin Hyundai in Anaheim. The Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell is available for a 36 month lease at $499 per month with $2,999 due at signing. The deal also includes free maintenance, free hydrogen refueling, and carpool lane access. We have seen fuel cell vehicles from Honda, but according to Hyundai, the Tucson Fuel Cell is the first mass-produced fuel cell vehicle for the U.S. market. This vehicle, which has undergone 2 million miles of testing, emits zero emissions and achieves a driving range comparable to gasoline-powered cars. Soon, availability of the Tucson Fuel Cell will expand to other regions as the nation's hydrogen refueling infrastructure develops further. In the meantime, interested customers can visit Hyundai's website to express interest in the Tucson, as this is the first step in the ordering process. Source: Hyundai
