Mazda Announces Pricing, Pre-Order Details for Swan Song Miata
The 2015 model year will signal the end of the current-generation Miata roadster. Now, Mazda is providing pricing information and letting buyers know how they can get a hold of the limited Anniversary Edition. The 2015 Mazda MX-5 Miata starts at $23,970, up just a few hundred dollars from last year. Hard-top equipped models start at $28,665. A limited-edition anniversary model, meant to celebrate the Miata's 25th birthday, starts at $32,205. Mazda also announced it is opening a website May 20 that will allow buyers to pre-order the Anniversary Edition. When the site opens, interested buyers will have to fill out a registration form to select available options and choose a preferred dealership. Only 100 customers will be able to buy the Anniversary Edition model, and those who are interested need to act before May 31 when the program ends. As an extra, the lucky 100 will also receive a custom-made Tourneau watch with MX-5 and 25th Anniversary logos. All Mazda MX-5 Miata 25h Anniversary Edition models come with a number of design extras. The exterior features a deep red metallic paint color with contrasting black A-pillars, windshield surrounds, and outside mirrors. On the inside of the vehicle, drivers will find Almond leather seats, satin chrome accents, piano black trim, and aluminum alloy pedals. And there is plenty of 25th Anniversary badging all around the car to further distinguish the special-edition model from its predecessors. Source: Mazda
