2015 Acura MDX Priced Higher than Outgoing Model

By | June 02, 2014
Acura has taken strides to make the MDX luxury SUV a top player in its segment, and the 2014 model earned many awards and recognition. For the 2015 model year, Acura hasn't changed much, but has bumped the starting price from $42,290 to $42,565 before destination charges. Powered by a 3.5-liter direct-injected V-6 engine that pumps out 290 horses and 267 lb.-ft. of torque, the 2015 Acura MDX also features variable cylinder management for improved fuel efficiency. It is available with front-wheel drive or Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. Thanks to safety features like Acura's next-gen Advance Compatibility Engineering body structure, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, and collision mitigation braking system, Acura is hopeful that the 2015 MDX will come away with a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, as well as top marks from government testing.
Standard features on the new model include keyless entry and ignition, Jewel Eye LED headlights, 8-inch multi-information touchscreen display, an expanded view driver's mirror, a 432 W Acura sound system, and more. Customers can opt for different packages for added luxury, technology, and safety with packages like the Advance Package, which includes driver assist features, a rear entertainment system, and more.
