For the new model year, Lexus is throwing some changes on the IS lineup in terms of new standard and available features, and a few design tweaks as well. With a wider stance and an updated grille, the 2015 Lexus IS offers a more aggressive appearance that will resonate well in the luxury sport sedan segment. Walking around the new models, consumers will immediately notice the slightly wider and longer stance, standard HID low/high beam headlamps with LED DRLs with available twin projector LED low/high beam headlamps, new exterior colors, and an updated optional F Sport package. Sitting behind the wheel, the Lexus IS offers an LFA-inspired cockpit, enhanced rear seat comfort, more luggage capacity, dual-zone dash, a choice of five interior colors, soft touch finishes, a silver metallic trim, and much more.
For 2015, Lexus has also added LED fog lamps, Siri Eyes Free for iPhone 4S and 5 models, heated and ventilated seats on the F Sport models, heated steering wheel on the F Sport AWD models, a backup camera with grid lines, and the available Lexus Enform Remote. The IS 250 models will be powered by a 2.5-liter V-6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that pumps out 204 horses, while the IS 350 will feature a 3.5-liter V-6 with 306 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque. This model will also utilize the eight-speed, Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission with G-force Artificial Intelligence that chooses gears intuitively. The IS 350 also features paddle shifters for a more engaging drive. Source: Lexus
