Alfa Romeo Establishes Dealerships in North America
If you still had doubts about Alfa Romeo's long-awaited return to the U.S., you can rest a little more assured. The Italian brand announced 86 new franchises coming to the U.S. and Canada. Alfa Romeo dealerships will spread across 33 U.S. states, with the heaviest concentration in California. With 12 dealerships all along the coast, it will beat out Texas and Florida, which will get 10 and 9 dealerships respectively. Only four of the dealerships designated for North America are coming to Canada. The 86 dealers will be the first to sell the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car, which goes on sale later this year. So far, all the new Alfa Romeo franchises are building off existing Fiat and Maserati dealers. Later, Alfa Romeo hopes to expand its network to more than 300 dealerships in North America. The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C is expected to achieve 237 horsepower and should dash to 60 mph in the mid 4-second range. Expect a price tag of around $55,000, except for the Launch Edition which will comprise of the first 500 available models. This version, set to run for around $70,000, will feature extras like HID headlights, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, racing exhaust, and a stiffer suspension.
