2015 Scion FR-S Gets Retuned Suspension, Other Upgrades
Introduced for 2013, the Scion FR-S will receive a few tweaks to keep it fresh for the 2015 model year. The 2015 Scion FR-S will continue to offer a 2.0-liter Subaru-sourced flat boxer engine with 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. But this year it is expected to achieve better handling thanks to a more rigid front suspension and re-tuning of the rear shock absorbers. Improved damping results in less body roll for a smoother ride. Also for 2015, the FR-S will receive a redesigned shark-fin antenna and other updates for better aerodynamics. Two new exterior colors, Halo white and Steel silver, replace similar shades offered last year. Meanwhile the exhaust tips on the new FR-S are larger in diameter for a sporty look. The interior receives new auto on/off headlights, a new key design, and a carbon fiber look on the interior panel. The latest FR-S will come with the same fuel economy ratings as last year. EPA ratings top out at 25/34 mpg when paired with the six-speed automatic. The 2015 Scion FR-S is available starting at $25,655 with the six-speed manual transmission or $26,755 with the auto. These models are just $200 more expensive than last year's versions. All prices include a required destination and handling fee. Source: Scion
