Infiniti G37 Revived as Q40
The G37 was a best-seller for the Infiniti brand, until Infiniti decided to change up its entire lineup. For 2014, Infiniti still sold a 2013 model year G37, although the all-new Q50 was introduced with the intention of replacing the G. Now, Infiniti has announced that the Q40 will serve as the new G37 for the upcoming model year. Confused? We are too. If you haven't heard, Infiniti has adopted an entirely new nomenclature for every model in its lineup. The name of each car is preceded by a "Q" while the name of each SUV or crossover receives a "QX" moniker in front. While this new convention is definitely more memorable than the hodgepodge of names like the JX35, IPL, and M37 on old models, it still leaves us a little bewildered. The 2015 Infiniti Q40 will be available in four exterior colors: Liquid Platinum, Graphite Shadow, Black Obsidian, and Moonlight White. Features include leather-appointed seats, Shodo aluminum trim, eight-way power heated front seats, Infiniti Intelligent Key, Bluetooth hands-free system, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Options will include the Navigation Plus Package and the Moonroof Package as well as the Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose. Buyers can choose between two versions, the Q40 and Q40 AWD. Expect the Infiniti Q40 to hit showroom floors this August. Check out the photo gallery below for a glimpse of the new sedan. Source: Infiniti
