2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit Is the Modern Police Car

Now that it has completely redesigned its muscle car lineup, Dodge is introducing an all-new Charger Pursuit police car.
The 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit offers a variety of improvements over previous models, thanks to feedback provided by law enforcement officers. Improved fuel economy, all-new electric power steering, and additional front suspension bushing durability on rear-wheel-drive models help improve the driving experience. The new model offers a larger 14.5-in. front and 13.8-in. rear pursuit-rated brake package as a standard feature, which will help increase performance. New projector-beam headlamps, LED turn signals, and DRLs enhance visibility. Law enforcement officers will also be able to customize their cars to their exact specifications for 2015.
Inside the cockpit, the new Charger Pursuit has a new 7-inch gauge cluster as well as a 5.0-inch Uconnect infotainment system with touchscreen. Hands-free phone usage is now standard on the Pursuit. Specially-designed front seats have unique bolstering and are designed to accommodate officers' belt-mounted gear. Other unique features include Stealth Mode, which dims interior lighting to decrease visibility to other drivers, as well as Sentry Key engine immobilizer which prevents theft.
Two engine choices are available on this police cruiser. A 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine delivers 292 horsepower and up to 26 mpg on the highway. Meanwhile, a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 bumps it up to 370 horses, and it can also deliver up to 26 mpg when operating in its four-cylinder Fuel Saver mode. The car can reach 60 mph in less than 6 seconds, Chrysler says. Source: Chrysler
