Bring on the Bling: 2015 Cadillac Escalade Adds Platinum Trim

By | August 12, 2014
If you thought the Escalade couldn't get any more opulent, Cadillac is adding a new range-topping trim that will swathe buyers in leather, massaging seats, and much more. Prices on the standard Escalade have increased to $73,965, or $1,275 more than last year. With all the additional accoutrements, the Escalade Platinum will be priced from $90,270. But what do you get for the money? The Platinum features first and second row seats wrapped in Nappa leather, as well as hand-stitched leather on the dashboard, door panels, and center console. Front seats are heated, cooled, and powered 18 different ways, not to mention the massaging functions on the driver seat. Unique wood accents, suede microfiber headliner trim, and special interior badging finish off the look.
For entertainment, there are two 7-inch LCD screens embedded in the front head rests, as well as a supplemental 9-inch screen overhead. A mini fridge in the center console keeps beverages cool. On the outside of the vehicle, 22-inch wheels with chrome accents make the Escalade stand out even more than it normally does.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade is already on sale, but those wanting the Platinum edition will have to wait until the fourth quarter of this year. Source: General Motors
