2007 Ford Expedition Goes Funkmaster Flex For SEMA Showing

By Joel Arellano | October 26, 2006
One does not normally think of the Ford Expedition as a canvas to show off one's artistic skills. But when the artist is Funkmaster Flex, you know this staple of lumbering people-mover doesn't stand a chance.Ford is once again tapping Funkmaster Flex’s customizing talents *** part of a unique marketing relationship announced in May 2005. Already notorious for tuning celebrity rides, Flex will showcase his singular interpretation of the all-new 2007 Ford Expedition at the 2006 SEMA show. Flex’s Expedition delivers hardworking SUV authenticity with original urban style and presence. The concept is based off the redesigned 2007 Expedition which is bigger, bolder and better. The new Expedition has a more aggressive look, more towing capacity and more interior flexibility. The 2007 Ford Expedition Funkmaster Flex Concept features a complete Street Scene® Body Kit, 24-inch wheels, two-tone black and redfire paint and a complete custom interior with DVD screens and performance audio system. Ford selected Flex to be the first customizer of the all-new 2007 Expedition after his successful work with other Ford products like the 2006 Ford Fusion, F-150 and Mustang. Our take? A regular Expedition already illicits concern when seen in the rearview mirror. We feel, though, one modified by Flex adds "intimidating" or "that's one scary muther" to its description.
