- A V-6 engine. Like the EX and FX the JX drums up motivation from a V-6 engine that is expected to have around the same output as well.
- Posh interior. Like the IPL G convertible that will also make its debut in LA the JX is expected to having nothing short of an over-the-top luxurious interior. Leather, leather, cutting-edge technology, and leather are usually the recipe Infiniti uses so expect to see a lot of that.
- Three-rows of seating. The JX can boast the most seating for a mid-size luxury crossover and only plays second fiddle the behemoth QX56 when it comes to overall cabin space.
2011 Los Angeles Auto Show: 2013 Infiniti JX Debut
What's New The production version of the 2013 Infiniti JX crossover makes its debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show as a production model a few months after the JX Concept debuted at Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance in August. However, the concept version on display in Pebble Beach was a thinly veiled production version so not much changed at the production unveil in Los Angeles. The JX is Infiniti's first three-row crossover, boasting three rows of seating and a posh interior only Infiniti can piece together. A 3.5-liter V-6 engine is the source of power for the JX producing 265 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a continuously variable transmission. Who It's For The 2013 Infiniti JX is perfect for a larger family looking for some luxury as it's capable of holding seven passengers. If the EX and FX are too small and the QX is too much the JX falls in between both being able to carry the perfect amount of passengers and cargo. The V-6 powerplantwon't lack any power but like other luxury crossovers, don't expect the Infiniti JX to be a towing monster. The interior also appears to have the level of luxury that is synonymous with Infiniti products. Primary competitors include the 2012 Audi Q5, 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 2012 BMW X5, and the 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The base JX FWD undercuts the competition as it starts at $41,400 while the all-wheel drive variant is $1100 more raising the base price to $42,500. Key Features Infiniti has packed the 2013 Infiniti JX with enough luxury and technology that it shouldn't have a problem differentiating itself from other crossovers in the segment. These include:
Toyota has dominated the compact car and mid-sized car segments in the U.S.
