2012 Detroit Auto Show: Lexus Unveiling New Concept Car
Lexus has just announced that it will unveil a concept car at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit this January. The car, designed by the company's Newport Beach, Calif., design center, "showcases the new design direction embraced by Lexus." From the looks of things, it will have wheels wrapped in some sort of tire. Headlights will adorn the front, and there's a big opening underneath them for what looks like moving air into the vehicle's nether regions. On a more realistic level, the 2013 Lexus GS look like it has finally shed its also-ran personality to run with the big dog BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Exactly what the above concept portends is unknown, but it certainly looks aggressive. We'll have more to tell you about it when it's unveiled in Detroit on January 9, 2012.
