2013 Cadillac ATS Fluent in Deutsch?
Cadillac has long labored to brand itself as a slice of luxurious Americana: Cars that reflected their owners, owners that understood luxury, and luxury that carried an American passport. Yet for the 2013 Cadillac ATS sedan, set to be debut in Detroit this January, Cadillac is changing the playbook, and hoping you'll take notice. Earlier this month at the 2011 L.A. Auto Show Caddy introduced the all new XTS Sedan, in hopes of wooing buyers looking at the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and the Audi A6. Perhaps more important to the newly buoyant automaker is capturing the entry-level market that will account for a greater number of sales. Naturally, the ATS is being developed to rankle those same German standard-bearers and the ever-successful BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. In the latest of a series of videos to hit the web, Cadillac makes no small effort to emphasize that the ATS was inspired by the "diverse experience" of driving the German autobahn, and engineers with Nurburgring track experience are fine-tuning the automakers latest sports sedan, due to hit showrooms late summer 2012. Below you can check out the video of the camouflaged rear-wheel-drive sports car looking pretty, with cheery engineers looking to make the ATS the best German-inspired luxury sedan it can be.
