2013 Cadillac XTS Pricing to Start Below $45,000
Pricing details for the all-new 2013 Cadillac XTS sedan have begun making their way to the public. Pricing of the luxury model will start at $44,995, which includes destination and handling fees. The Cadillac XTS comes in four levels: base, Luxury, Premium, and Platinum. Some of the XTS' standard features include brembo brakes, magnetic control ride, which smoothes out the suspension system, and CUE, Cadillac's interactive infotainment system. To prepare potential Cadillac buyers on the CUE system, GM is releasing an app for the Apple iPad that simulates the system in early spring. Says Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac marketing, "CUE is intuitive, in part because its control and command structure aims to be consistent with popular devices millions of people already use. The App adds to this by literally putting CUE into your hands, even before you can get into the car." Other features found on the 2013 Cadillac XTS include heads-up display, heated and cooled seats, and the safety alert seat, which vibrates the driver's chair if the sedan is drifting from its lane. The Cadillac XTS is currently powered exclusively by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available. The XTS is slotted above the Cadillac CTS with the all-new Cadillac ATS as the entry model to GM's luxury brand. The 2013 Cadillac XTS goes on sales around the second quarter of this year.
