2013 Ford Fusion Recalled for Headlight Issue
Ford is recalling its popular 2013 Ford Fusion midsize sedan for an issue with its headlights. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Fusion does not meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard relating to its lights. The newly styled Ford Fusion has won praise for its good looks and modern design. We recently put the Fusion up against four of its midsize competitors; check back soon for the full story. The Problem The coating on the "low beam projector headlamps" may not be properly cured. The issue only affects 2013 Ford Fusion models manufactured from February 3, 2012 to October 20, 2012. Without being properly cured, the headlight can become hazy with use, reducing brightness and visibility, which could increase the probability of an accident. The Fix Ford will notify owners, and dealers with replace the headlamp assembly. The recall is expected to begin December 10, 2012.
