2013 Nissan Juke to Get New Features and Midnight Edition Styling Package

By Jacob Brown | August 14, 2012
The Nissan Juke won us over with its so-quirky-it's-cool styling and fun-to-drive character. For the 2013 model year, Nissan is instilling it with even more distinctive looks with its Midnight Edition package. Available on all models—Juke S, SV, and SL—the Midnight Edition comes with black 17-inch wheels, a Sapphire Black rear spoiler mounted on its roof, and Sapphire Black mirror surrounds. Nissan says the kit will be available at dealerships for an additional $1,200. That's about $500 cheaper than what the kit would cost if each part were purchased separately. The kit can go on any color Juke, and we think the contrast gives a little bit of a Nissan GT-R Black Edition vibe to the Juke's looks. But outside of the cosmetic updates, the 2013 Nissan Juke is getting some functional tweaks as well. Take, for instance, the rearview monitor that's now integrated in navigation system-equipped mid-level Nissan Juke SV models. In the 2012 model, it was still an extra when paired with the navigation. Nissan has also revised the Rockford Fosgate ecoPUNCH auto system that comes with the Juke SV with the navigation system and all versions of the top-level Nissan Juke SL. Three new colors are also available for 2013: Atomic Gold, Brilliant Silver, and Pearl White. The 2012 model has white and silver colors available already, but these will further heighten choices between shades of (metallic) gray. The 2013 Nissan Juke is otherwise a carryover from the the 2012 model, meaning its 188-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder stays the same until the Nismo Juke with around 200 horsepower arrives sometime later. Look for the 2013 Nissan Juke with the Midnight Edition package to show up in dealerships this September. Source: Nissan
