2013 Nissan Titan Gains Equipment with Modest Price Bump

By Jacob Brown | November 12, 2012
The 2013 Nissan Titan returns for its ninth model year in the ultra-competitive full-size pickup truck segment without much difference from the models that have come before it. But that doesn't mean Nissan is simply letting it rot on the vine. Instead, for 2013, Nissan is bringing in a host of improvements and upgrades designed for people who want to continue with their tried and true brand of choice. In the new model year, the Titan gains a new tailgate design that's more aerodynamic, new colors, standard side step rails on SV and SL models, a standard 120-volt power outlet in the bed of SL models, a new four-spoke steering wheel, and an updated look for the PRO-4X off-road model. The 2013 Nissan Titan S King Cab short-wheelbase 4x2 starts at $29,815, including $995 for destination and handling, a modest $300 increase from the 2012 model year. For more heavily optioned versions, the increase can be as much as $970. Specific prices are as follows:
King Cab
  • 2013 Nissan Titan SV SWB 4x2 — $32,245
  • 2013 Nissan Titan S SWB 4x4 — $32,665
  • 2013 Nissan Titan SV SWB 4x4 — $35,095
  • 2013 Nissan Titan PRO-4X — $38,035

  • 2013 Nissan Titan SV long-wheelbase 4x2 — $34,895
  • 2013 Nissan Titan SL SWB 4x2 — $41,035
  • 2013 Nissan Titan S 4x4 SWB — $35,215
  • 2013 Nissan Titan SV 4x2 SWB — $37,295

  • 2013 Nissan Titan PRO-4X — $40,235
  • 2013 Nissan Titan SL 4x4 SWB — $43,735
Although many competitors have been revised or redesigned several times over in the time the Titan has been on sale, it continues to be an offering Nissan is committed to, as the automaker knows there are customers out there who won't accept a Chevy, Ford, or a Ram. Coming only with a 5.6-liter, 317-horsepower V-8 engine that's paired to a five-speed automatic transmission, it is able to tow 9,400 pounds in Crew Cab configuration and 9,500 pounds when optioned with the King Cab.
