2014 Cadillac CTS: Motor Trend Car of the Year
The leaves are turning, there's a chill in the air, and everything tastes like pumpkin pie. That can only mean one thing: It's time for the annual Motor Trend Car of the Year award. This year, it's the 2014 Cadillac CTS. After a string of controversial picks, including last year's selection of the Tesla Model S, the 2014 Cadillac CTS is sure to once again ruffle feathers. Not because it doesn't deserve the award, because it certainly does. We practically gushed in our 2014 Cadillac CTS First Drive, and frankly, feel a little vindicated by our colleagues' selection. No, the controversy will likely stem from the fact that there was another car in GM's stable that was passed by: the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. We're not saying the 'Vette deserved it over the Cadillac. In fact, this may have been one of the toughest competitions Motor Trend has ever faced, with such excellent cars as the 2014 Jaguar F-Type in the mix as well.
