2014 Cadillac XTS Will Offer Twin-Turbo V-6

As one of the most technologically advanced production cars in the brand's history, the new 2014 Cadillac XTS will feature a Twin-Turbo V-6 engine, along with updated and new standard features. It is also the only luxury sedan with standard Magnetic Ride Control, and the most spacious of all the Cadillac sedans, which Cadillac says offers more interior space than the average midsize luxury sedan. The new Cadillac XTS comes standard with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine, and produces 304 horsepower. For the 2013 Cadillac XTS, there is an available new twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 engine delivering 410 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful six-cylinder engines in the segment. This new engine makes for a confident feeling of power in all driving situations, such as entering the highway and overtaking slower traffic. All engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with tap-shift control. New for the 2014 model year is a premium electric, variable-assist power steering gear that is added to all front-wheel drive models. It delivers quick response and on-center characteristics, while drawing energy only when the wheels are turned. Standard on all models is StabiliTrak electronic stability control, along with variable-effort steering and four-wheel disk brakes.
Advanced safety features have been added to the new XTS to improve driver awareness. With an assortment of alerts, the new Cadillac XTS keeps drivers safe, and even intervenes in the event of an imminent crash threat.
