2014 Chevrolet Corvette Fans Can Once Again Tour Bowling Green Factory
The seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has arrived, and for enthusiasts that want to get a unique, intimate look at the Corvette's assembly, the Bowling Green production plant is once again offering tours. Starting October 14, the plant will reopen to tour groups after halting tours last fall to undergo a $131-million upgrade, one necessary to build the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. GM's Bowling Green plant has been the exclusive home of the Chevrolet Corvette since 1981, and enthusiast will be able to take a one-mile walking tour of the Corvette plant. "We are delighted to invite the public back in to our facility, so we can continue our close-knit customer relationships and educate enthusiasts from around the world about the unique Corvette manufacturing process," said Dave Tatman, Bowling Green Assembly Plant manager. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is powered by a 6.2-liter, 450 hp V-8 engine. The Corvette starts at $51,995 for the coupe model, while the convertible is priced starting from $56,995.
