2014 Honda Civic Priced $225 Higher than Outgoing Model

By | December 04, 2013
The 2014 Honda Civic has hit showroom floors, sporting upgraded technology, an overall better driving dynamic, and extensive exterior updates for the Civic Coupe. An all-new continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) has been added to both the sedan and coupe model to increase fuel efficiency and performance. To market the new Civic Coupe to younger buyers, Honda has significantly updated the exterior styling to give it a more youthful and sporty air. The interior features a new 7 inch touchscreen display, keyless entry and ignition, a blind spot monitor, and the next generation of HondaLink. Thanks to an updated CVT, replacing last year's five-speed automatic, the new Honda Civic received a fuel economy bump, and now achieves an EPA-estimated 30/39/33 mpg city/highway/combined. Honda offers the 2014 Honda Civic Coupe in four different models, the LX and EX with a five-speed manual transmission, and the EX-L and EX-L Navi with the new CVT. The Honda Civic Sedan is offered as an LX, with either the five-speed or CVT, of the EX, EX-L, and EX-L Navi with the CVT. Also available is the 2014 Honda Civic Sedan HF with CVT. Pricing for the new 2014 Honda Civic Coupe starts at $18,190 and tops out at $24,040, while the 2014 Honda Civic Sedan starts at $18,390 with the top-of-the-line model hits $24,240 before the $790 destination charge.
