2014 Lexus RX 350 and 450h Receive Minor Equipment Updates

By | October 01, 2013
For the new model year, Lexus has added some new equipment to both the 2014 RX 350 and 450h models. Both models feature new packages, technology updates, and new safety systems. The RX line retains its position as the top crossover, adding onto the refreshed design from the previous model year. The 2014 RX 350, still offered with either front-wheel or all-weather drive, is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the F Sport model receives an eight-speed transmission. Siri Eyes Free Mode from Apple has been added to the new models, and is compatible with iPhone 4S and 5. Thanks to the new eight-speed automatic transmission, the F Sport model has increased fuel economy. Other changes on the 2014 Lexus RX 350 include an exclusive Ultra White exterior color for the F Sport, the addition of Pre-Brake and forward collision warning to the Pre-Collision system, and both the Luxury Package and F Sport model now feature a rear-seat 115v AC power outlet.
The 2014 RX 450h receives many of the same updates as the RX 350, including Siri Eyes Free Mode, and the addition of the rear seat 115v AC power outlet. However, a sustainable Matte Bamboo trim and steering wheel for a black or parchment interior has been added to the Premium package. Also available on the 450h is the Pre-Collision system that now features the Pre-Brake and forward warning collision, but only on the front-wheel drive model. Source: Newspress USA
