2014 Mitsubishi Outlander, 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Coming to L.A. Auto Show

In less than two weeks, the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander and the 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition will be making their North American debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. Now in its third-generation, the Mitsubishi Outlander's latest version made its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show back in March of this year. Both vehicles feature new exterior styling cues that put an emphasis on aerodynamics. A new engine has also been built for both the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander and the 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition with higher fuel economy figures in mind. Mitsubishi is shooting for the 2014 Outlander to be one of the most fuel-efficient compact crossovers to seat seven people. The third-gen Outlander will include an upmarket interior, along with some new technology including Forward Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Mitsubishi promises that the 2014 Outlander will have levels of efficiency, safety, comfort, and convenience never before seen in its vehicles. This may be a good sign for a company that's being questioned about its stability in the North American automotive market. Two weeks ago, fellow Japanese automaker Suzuki pulled out of the North American market after sales had dwindled down to 2,000 units sold a month. For comparison purposes, Toyota doubles that number in sales every day. Mitusbishi also plans to use the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show as a platform to further outline the company's next direction. Not to be outdone by its larger sibling is the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition. The smaller Outlander will be making its North American debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, too. It will also commemorate Mitsubishi's 30-year anniversary of selling vehicles in the North American market. The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition includes features like blackout side mirrors, center bumper, wheel arch trim and roof rails, dark-chrome alloy wheels, and "Limited Edition" badging. The new engine that will also be debuting in the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander and the 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition have been designed to shift quicker, accelerate smoother, and have more of a performance feel to it. Other features on the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition include a six-way power adjustable driver's chair, aluminum brake and gas pedals, a parking brake wrapped in leather, and leather seats.
