2014 Toyota Avalon and Prius Liftback Priced

Toyota has announced pricing on the 2014 Avalon fullsize sedan and 2014 Prius hatchback. Pricing remains the same as 2013 model for both vehicles; however, the base Avalon model has a slight price increase of $350, and the Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring model sees a $500 decrease from the 2013 model. The 2014 Toyota Avalon now offers a back-up monitor as a standard feature on all models, which contributes to the slight price increase on the base model. Both the Avalon XLE Premium and Hybrid XLE Premium feature Display Audio with Navigation and Entune App suite, along with 18-inch painted alloy wheels on the XLE Touring model. We recently drove the 2013 Toyota Avalon, featuring a refreshed look with the features and capabilities to rival its competition. For those looking for a luxury sedan without the large price tag, the Avalon is a good alternative. For the new model year, the Prius remains unchanged, which may not be the best thing. When we drove the 2013 Toyota Prius, we found that although it may have incredible fuel economy, it failed at nearly everything else. Both the 2014 Avalon and Prius will begin production this month and will be available nationwide in November. Pricing for the 2014 Toyota Avalon starts at $31,340 for the base model, and ranges to $39,650, while the Avalon Hybrid model ranges from $35,555 to $41,400. The 2014 Prius Liftback still starts at $23,215 and caps out at $30,005. The prices listed do not include the $810 destination charge.
