2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Teased Ahead of Detroit Auto Show Debut

By Jacob Brown | December 04, 2013
All we have is a small snippet of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06's fender. And yet, we have so much more. No one has really talked about the next Corvette Z06, not with all of the fanfare behind the 460-horsepower 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Z51. But you knew there'd be one to keep the lineup fresh and the Corvette's fanbase roused. So far, we have no official details about the street-racer 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, but we can tell you that it will have carbon fiber sills and rocker panel accents that look to add to the car's already substantial aerodynamic downforce. It will also have Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires, which ought to grip at epic levels. Over the next few months, Chevrolet will be unveiling the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to complement the lineup that will include the 7.0-liter, 505-horsepower Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, 415-horsepower Chevrolet SS sedan, and possibly even the next-generation Cadillac CTS-V, which is bound to adopt some of the high-performance technology of the Z06, as that's always been the case with the midsize luxury sedan. Given how good the 2014 Cadillac CTS already is, we imagine the CTS-V will give the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and BMW M5 a real run for the money at what is likely to be a bit less coin. More will be revealed closer to January's Detroit Auto Show. Stay tuned, and expect the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to start production in late 2014 for an early 2015 rollout at dealers. The new mustang is a failure as well so far, no info on the hp for 2015, just a lot of hipster BS about ecoboost, are people gunna start wearing their sweaters over their shoulder again?! UHG

Great, another batmobile than can get its but kicked by a mustang gt500, this car has no real identity any more, its ugly, its not a ferrari, and the mustang wips its butt repeatedly, now why would i buy this car? cuz its cheap, and it helps baby boomers feel good.

Can you feel the Chevy Love?  In an age of diminishing expectations and political correctness which underlie the premise that hybrid cars are somehow "good for the environment" GM puts its finger directly in the eye of the very people who bailed them out.  Looks like a redux of the golden age of muscle cars to me.  I know the Corvette engineers have spent years refining their product at the Nurburgring in Germany and America's sports car humbles exotics costing double.  Too bad most American's if they buy one of these high performance GM products will have little place besides a racetrack to experience their potential.  Thank you Obama for bailing out GM.  As much as I admire these cars, GM is out of touch with reality as ever and will need another bailout when they don't sell many 100k plus Corvettes.
