2015 Mazda3 Naked, Leaked Before Official Reveal
The 2015 Mazda3 is a few short weeks away from its official reveal later this month, but we may have a great look at Mazda's newest--and most important--addition now. According to the Dutch website Autoblog Nederland, the 2015 Mazda3 was accidentally "leaked" by appearing in a Japanese brochure ahead of the global reveal. The un-camouflaged Mazda3 seems to sport the same curvature of the 3's we've seen in disguise, and while there are similarities and a definite evolution from the current Mazda3, the new model is striking. Featuring among other design attributes a more aggressive beltline, a more refined grille, and new fog lights and housings, the 2015 Mazda3 has piqued our interest. The rear end of this hatchback is also swooped up, giving the impression of a longer body. Twin exhaust pipes look sporty, and the wraparound taillights are in keeping with what we've seen from Mazda recently. We'll be at the global reveal later this month to bring you all the details, and every angle of what will be Mazda's greatest seller. While the 2015 Mazda3 could continue to sport the fuel-efficient 2.0-liter four-cylinder Skyactiv engine that the current model employs, Mazda's 2.5-liter Skyactiv engine could also be tapped for a top-of-the-line trim. The 2.5-liter ups power from 155 hp to 184 hp in the 2014 Mazda CX-5, while remarkably delivering almost the same fuel economy. But Mazda may also look to differentiate the Mazda3 and Mazda6 by keeping the 2.0-liter engine as the only option. We expect to have more information surrounding the reveal. Source: Autoblog.nl
