2015 Mini Cooper Teased Playfully
We're just under a week away from the official world debut of the 2015 Mini Cooper, but for enthusiasts who simply can't wait, Mini is offering a playful teaser. The teaser highlights the 2015 Cooper's striking, even larger headlights. We can also see twin pipes on the exhaust and a "funhouse" silhouette, reminiscent of the current model. In typical Mini fashion, the teaser is set to quirky, Austin-Powers-esque music. The 2015 Mini Cooper will be powered either by the entry-level 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine capable of 134 horsepower or the more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which ups the horses to 189. The bigger engine will be featured on the Mini Cooper S model, and buyers will have a choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, regardless of the engine. We've also seen some of the automaker's evolutionary styling on the 2015 Mini Cooper Convertible, which our spy photographer recently caught in transit. The 2015 Mini Cooper will make its official global debut November 18, and it is expected to go on sale in the U.S. early next year.
