2015 Subaru WRX Teaser Released

By | November 11, 2013
We've long been waiting for this. Subaru today released a tantalizing photo of the all-new WRX before the car debuts at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. Subaru is only revealing the front end of the WRX, and it is apparent that the new version features a prominent hood scoop and sharper creases for a more aerodynamic design. The image of the car on Subaru's website fades in and out, highlighting the WRX's wide-set headlights. While it certainly looks more aggressive than a base Impreza, it still lacks the bite of the WRX Concept seen at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. Subaru is promising some considerable changes for the next-gen 2015 Subaru WRX. The automaker said that "everything from the chassis down to the lug nuts" will provide for impressive handling, signifying there could be some revisions under the sheetmetal. Subaru has not yet released powertrain details for the new model, but expect slightly more power than the 265 ponies in the previous version. It is unlikely, however, to go too far off from its roots. Expect a turbocharged boxer engine paired with all-wheel drive for the new 2015 Subaru WRX when it arrives.
