Attack of the Japanese Hybrid, Mid-Engine Exotic Sports Car, part 3!

Pass around the "It's-a-Boy!" cigars: The world-conquering Godzilla (also known as the Nissan GT-R, or simply, The GT-R) will soon have a baby brother. Or cousin. We're not entirely sure how the relation works out. What's important, though, is that the Nissan performance family is expanding with the launch of an Infiniti Adavnced Sports Car Concept, called Emerg-E. Mama Infiniti hasn't had an ultrasound yet, so details are scarce. What we do know is that the relatively short gestation period will end at 10:15 central European time on March 6 at the Geneva Motor Show, displaying a healthy, efficient, zero-emissions capable performance car with a range-extending drivetrain mounted amidship. Don't speak Car? That means the engine will be clean and perhaps not placed in front of the driver, depending on some weight-balance and transfer issues. Why? Because neighborhood bullies Lexus and Acura are both working on clean, premium sportscars (LF-LC, and NSX Concept), which were recently announced at the Detroit Auto Show. Considering the very positive press and internet chatter concerning those two concepts, Infiniti had to jump into the game, too, right? While we think one can never have enough GT-R, we realize that those cars only cater to a very small percentage of the population. Instead, we'd love to see a Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S competitor resurrected from the soul of the Nissan 180SX. Nissan? Nissan? Anyone? Source: Infiniti EU
