Audi Hooks Up With Pro Skiers and Foursquare

Audi and its quattro all-wheel drive system go hand in hand. It's a staple in the company's advertising, which frequently shows its cars gallivanting around in white snowdrifts as if there were so much solid black asphalt. To further solidify its ties with battling the white stuff, Audi has sponsored the U.S. ski team since 2007. It's a good tie in: Audis are as comfortable on snow as pro skiers, goes the connection. This year, Audi's taking the relationship a step further with the popular social-media-locator-stalker's-friend foursquare. Pro skiers such as Olympians Lindsey Vonn and Andrew Weibrecht will post their opinions of popular ski resorts, the best places to go, and other tips. If you follow Audi on foursquare and check in at these resorts, you'll be rewarded with a special Audi badge, plus 20 percent off all items at the Audi collection. It sounds like a good deal to us. After all, it costs a bundle for the privilege of strapping two sticks to your feet, getting hauled up the side of a mountain, and then sliding back down on the sticks.
