Automobile Magazine reviews Lotus ExigeS 260
Described by Automobile Magazine as “one of the most pure and minimalist sports cars,” the Lotus Exige is also a car that “creates a rare intersection of capability and simplicity.” to the lucky editors as well.Power for the ExigeS comes from a supercharged 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine sourced from Toyota that pushes out 257 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. While this might not sound all that impressive, combined with the Exige’s lightweight makes it possible to go 0-60 in 5.0 seconds, and able to do a quarter mile in 13.8 seconds. Oh, yeah, speaking of light weight. Lotus has found a way to shave another 50 pounds off the kart thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber and lightweight items such as wheels, intercooler plumbing, battery, and floor mats. Our take? The $76,000 price tag is the only thing stopping most of us from going out and getting one.
To the American people, Ford Motor Company is the good guy.
