Behind the Wheel: 2013 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum
The 2013 Nissan Pathfinder tried hard. It offered up plenty of space, a comfortable ride, lots of modern amenities, and a quiet cabin. But we just can't love it. In other words, it's in the friend zone. It's not that it's a bad vehicle, not by a longshot. You'll have a hard time finding a competitive vehicle that has a more comfortable ride and handling balance. The audio system was great, and the navigation looked good, and was accurate. Then there's Nissan's All Around View, which displays all four sides of the Pathfinder as you pull into a parking spot, or back out. It's very cool and clever, and one of the neatest things about the vehicle. But when you're stuck talking about how a bunch of cameras are the best thing about a vehicle, you know you're in trouble.
