Behind the Wheel: 2013 Subaru BRZ
The 2013 Subaru BRZ--and its twin, the Scion FR-S--is everywhere. At least in Southern California, that is. Maybe you've heard of it? It was the most hyped car of the last 7 years, with every single minor update and Nurburgring spy photo the talk for weeks on internet chat forums. It's all the rage these days, too, still in the latest automotive circles. And why not? A $26,000 front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that weighs less than 2,800 pounds? Sign us up! It's pure joy, say the marketing types, and the buff mags, and pretty much everyone we've run into who has one. Naturally, we wanted in on it, too, but to give it our usual spin. Can four adults actually sit in it? Is it a decent commuter, or a weekender only? And, if you had to live with it, how many grocery bags could we stuff inside it? Real world stuff in addition to the weekend stuff. Curious? We were, too, and got behind the wheel of a 2013 Subaru BRZ for a week to find out.
