Behind the Wheel: 2014 Nissan Versa Note

By Jacob Brown | June 29, 2013
Cheap and cheerful. Usually when shopping for a new car, it's one or the other. If you get "cheap," you'll be saddled with a loud, coarse rattle box. If you get cheerful, you may end up spending over $20,000 for a small car by the time you're done with it. But you're sensible. It should be possible to get both in the same package. That, then, is the mission of the 2014 Nissan Versa Note. Replacing the Versa hatchback for the first time since Nissan's subcompact went on sale in 2006, the Versa Note is bridging the gap between the two-year-old Versa sedan and the overseas Nissan Note, a standalone model over yonder. With all this time waiting for a redesign, we were left with one question: Is the segment's top seller still deserving of its title? Read our 2014 Nissan Versa Note First Drive to find out.
