Best Driver's Car 2013: 76 Minutes of Automotive Salvation and Salivation [Video]

If you're a car enthusiast, it's hard not to get a little excited this time of year. After a long off season of auto shows, Frankfurt looks to brush off the dust with plenty of new concepts. The fall also means the start of awards season, the first of which is our sister publication Motor Trend's "Best Driver's Car" competition, which pits a dozen of the hottest new cars in competition with one another to see which is the best. Not which is the fastest. Not which is the most comfortable. Not which is the best daily driver. Not which is the best-handling. All of them. Best Driver's Car isn't a competition of one-trick ponies. A car must be able to do it all and excel in each and every category. It is perhaps the most intensive, most exhaustive award for performance cars in the world. Now, we're going to show you how it's done. The Motor Trend video producers had a terrible time of cutting down all the footage this year. So what did they do? Made one huge video to go over all the details, the nitpicks, the sounds, sights, and raw horsepower involved in what makes the "Best Driver's Car" competition, well, the best.
