Bid on a Limited Edition Chrysler 300S Customized by John Varvatos

By Trevor Dorchies | March 13, 2012
The Chrysler 300 was first introduced in 2005 to a warm reception, and people quickly compared it to a poor man's Bentley Arnage. Now in its second generation, the 300 has shed that perception and grown into its own skin. In its seven years on the production line, Chrysler has sold just under 500,000 300 sedans, and if you've been waiting to put a 300 with the same exclusivity as that Bentley in your driveway, now's your chance. A charity organization known fittingly as charitybuzz is now auctioning off a limited-edition 2012 Chrysler 300S that has been given a touch of interior flare courtesy of John Varvatos. Varvatos, a popular men's wear designer and Detroit native, has added some custom features like 20-inch wheels dipped in a satin carbon finish, seats and door paneling that have black woven leather elements, and satin chrome interior finishes. Other custom features include flat woven Heather fabric, black leather wrapping the center console, instrument panel, door armrests, and console lid. A black two-tone steering wheel also makes an appearance on this customized 300S. The 2012 Chrysler 300 receives minor tweaks for the latest model year after seeing 36,285 units find new homes in 2011. The most notable change for the 2012 Chrysler 300 comes in the form of the all-new Pentastar V-6 engine, now connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. An 8.4-inch infotainment screen is also present in the 300's interior and is tasked with managing all things media. Garmin navigation, which was awarded the highest rating when compared with other navigational systems, comes standard in the 2012 Chrysler 300 as well. There's still another week to go to bid on the limited edition Chrysler 300S but proposals have already eclipsed the $50,000 plateau. As it stands with all of the additional styling touches, the 300S up for auction is valued at $75,000. The bidding opened up on February 28 and will close at 1:10 p.m. EDT next Tuesday, March 20. All proceeds collected from the auction of the limited edition Chrysler 300S will benefit The Rape Foundation in support of the Stuart House. Get out your checkbook, and start bidding on this all-new customized 300S now. Source: charitybuzz
