BMW Releases Latest the Form of a Limited Edition Ski

BMW Announces Latest M in Partnership with K2 Corporation…and it's not what you're thinking. It doesn't have windows, four tires, or that coveted "M" logo stuck to back of the trunk. Still want one? Well, too bad because it's not for sale to the public, and it's not even a car. BMW's M branch has paired with K2 Corporation to produce a limited number of skis. A company that is known for its fiberglass ski technology, K2 has joined the German auto maker to make 500 pairs of skis inspired by the M lineup. These skis were designed using the M as its inspiration; in other words, they're optimized for double-diamonds, not green circles. A traditional camber has been utilized along with a rocker to help boost turnability, and it's based off K2's Baseline ski, which also offers up edge grip that promises to be second to none courtesy of its use of the traditional curve in the base of the ski. If you know what that means, you're probably drooling about now. If you're still hell-bent on getting the skis, you'd better be a world-class skier. The limited edition blades will be one of the prizes in this year's BMW xDrive Cup. If you aren't confident in your abilities to navigate down the slopes there's still hope. BMW also offers fans a chance to try out the xDrive four-wheel drive system. Skiers and snowboarders can also compete against one another on a giant slalom and post their own SkiMovies in 10 of the 13 race locations. You can also earn badges in order to be entered into a monthly drawing for a pair of the limited M skis. You must accrue five badges through races or trying out the xDrive at select locations before you can be registered for the raffle. For more information check out
