We'd recommend you contact your Scion dealer. It was a limited time offer, and they may have run out of them.
Buy a Scion iQ, Get a Playstation Vita! Or Is It the Other Way Around?
Somehow, the term "Playstation generation" has stuck on us Gen Y folk. And somehow, Scion has boldly attempted to emblazon itself as the brand of young people, handing out indie hip hop sampler CDs at car shows and offering Bazooka subwoofers as dealer-installed options. It wasn't too big a leap for Scion to collaborate with Sony in handling out the new portable Playstation Vita with the purchase of one of its cars. Would it come with something Gran Turismo-oriented like the 2013 Scion FR-S? That would only make too much sense. Nope, the "youth" brand is handing out the video game system with the purchase of the $15,995 Scion iQ subcompact hatchback. "Scion is very proud of the iQ’s intelligent and functional design," said Jack Hollis, Scion Vice President, in a statement. "Similar to the PS Vita, the Scion iQ comes loaded with premium technological features, has a focus on functionality, is concentrated into a suitably small package, and most importantly is tons of fun." OK, enough about the car. What about the video game system? We've driven the car, and we'll be the first to admit we're more excited about the Playstation. It'll have a 5-inch high-definition touchscreen, dual analog sticks, a rear touchpad, two cameras, a built-in microphone, and it'll come with MotorStorm RC installed on it with the purchase of the Scion iQ. Or you can just download the game for free. So which is the better deal, the $16,000 Scion iQ or the $300 Playstation Vita? Or does including the Playstation with the Scion only sweeten the deal? It's a limited time-promotion, running from May through July, but we're afraid to say we'd rather just have the video game system and use its built-in wifi to find the number of a reputable taxi cab service.
