Buy Now, Pay Later: Chrysler Offers To Delay First Payment By Three Months
If you've always wanted a new car, so the saying goes, now's never been a better time to buy. Likewise, Chrysler is offering to delay the first month's payment on any new Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram or Fiat by 90 days, for 2012 models. The "No Payments for 90 Days" Program applies to those with good credit, and who finance their new cars through Ally Financial or Chase Auto Finance. This comes on top of Chrysler's increased promotions for active-duty military and veterans: $1,000 off the cost of a new car, versus $500 from before. And as such, there's a caveat: both deals don't cover value-oriented models such as the Dodge Avenger SE, the Chrysler 200 LX, Dodge Journey AVP, and on the other end of the spectrum, performance models such as the Fiat 500 Abarth, the Viper and SRT models. Sorry, speed freaks. And no, it won't apply to the hotly-anticipated Dodge Dart, which doesn't go on sale until June.Chrysler's overall sales grew 56.4 percent this April from last year, but Dodge grew a measly 2 percent. Will this help jump-start sales for the rest of May? Its dealers certainly hope so. Source: Chrysler
