Calling All Cars: Loss of Control Leads to Chevy Impala Police Sedan Recall
You a cop? If so, and you're driving a model year 2008 through 2012 Chevrolet Police Impala, you may want to give General Motors a call. Or check your mailbox. The automaker is recalling 36,413 Impala sedans due to an issue with the front lower control arms. According to GM, those arms can break and potentially separate from the handling bushing sleeve. This could affecting control of the Chevy Impala. Later this month, GM will be contacting via mail those municipalities who may own the affected Chevrolet Impala sedan. The Chevy Police Impala is sold both in the U.S. and Canada. Owners will be directed to bring their cars to dealerships which will then replace both left and right front lower control arms. GM states it has received no reports of crashes, injuries, or fatalities involving the Chevrolet Impala Police cars. Source: General Motors
