Cat's out of the Bag: Hyundai Veloster Turbo Revving to 2012 Detroit Auto Show
It's amazing what 140 words can do. A din rose across the autosphere this morning as John Krafcik, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America, officially confirmed via Twitter that the all-new Hyundai Veloster sports compact will receive a turbo variant. Krafcik, of course, didn't release specific details of the Veloster turbo in his tweet but we have a pretty good guess to its specs. In our earlier post, Hyundai Announces New Turbo, Veloster Skeptics Rejoice, Hyundai had unveiled barely two week ago a model equipped with a 1.6-liter inline-four cylinder engine speculated to generate 204 horsepower, significantly better than the standard engine's 138 horsepower.
