Chevrolet Lacetti TCDi: Diesel Comes to the U.K.
Car Keys reports that Chevrolet will drive out its first diesel vehicle in the United Kingdom at the Bologna Motor Show this December. Called the Lacetti TCDi, the car displays a chrome radiator grill and uses a two-liter common rail turbo diesel that generate 119 bhp. The five-door hatchback model has a top speed of 117 mph and reaches 0 - 62 mph in 9.8 seconds. Fuel economy is rated at 58.8 mpg. Pricing information will be released at a later date. Our take? Chevy may want to consider importing the TCDi if diesel takes off in the U.S. However, the car's a rare disappointment in terms of styling for a European vehicle. Maybe General Motors could have Opel give the designers a hand for the next generation. Via Car Keys
