Chevy Announces 2014 Impala Pricing
It’s not yet 2013, but the 2014 Chevrolet Impala, the bowtie brand’s flagship sedan, will arrive in showrooms this upcoming spring with a base price of just $27,535, including destination. That seems like a great price for a large, well-equipped sedan, especially one that garnered loads of positive reviews from its auto show debut early this year. In terms of features and amenities, Chevrolet is promising the newest form of its MyLink infotainment system with an 8-inch, customizable color display and "natural voice recognition," and new features, such as adaptive cruise control, and crash avoidance systems, like rear cross-traffic alert and side blind-zone alert. The 2014 Impala will come with three engine choices, including a 303-horsepower V-6, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and a 35-mpg capable 2.4-liter four-cylinder with Chevy’s eAssist hybrid drive. Per Chevy, all engines will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and all engines are available in familiar Chevy LS, LT, and LTZ model designations."We’ll build on the success the Impala nameplate has generated over its history," said Chris Perry, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. "We’ve added sophisticated design features, more technology and safety equipment, while conserving Impala’s current strengths like spaciousness and comfort." Only time will tell if the next Impala will be as good in person as its rap sheet looks on paper. Source: Chevrolet
