Dodge Offers 'No-Cost Maintenance Plus' on 2011 Journey Lux Crossover

By Automotive Staff | May 31, 2011
Dodge wants to give customers of its Journey and Durango crossovers another reason to splurge on the highest trim level: No-cost Maintenance Plus. Available only on the 2011 Journey Lux and 2011 Durango Citadel, the maintenance plan is claimed to have a value of $1100. Over the course of three years or 36,000 miles, the owner of a 2011 Journey Lux can expect complimentary oil changes as well as scheduled and recommended maintenance services at 6000-mile intervals. When a Journey Lux needs repairs that force the dealer to hold the crossover overnight, the owner will receive a $35-a-day rental car allowance, up to five days. 2011 dodge journey left DG011_029JN.jpg If your family is on a roadtrip more than 100 miles from home and the Journey Lux becomes inoperable due to the failure of a component covered by the factory warranty, Dodge will provide as much as $1000 for lodging, meals, and car rental expenses. That's not all: Dodge also covers towing and roadside assistance for when you run out of gas, lock your keys in the Journey, or need a tire changed. 2011 dodge journey front right DG011_031JN.jpg As for the 2011 Dodge Journey Lux itself, the crossover has three rows of seats and uses Chrysler's Pentastar V-6. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine produces 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Fuel economy is 17/25 mpg city/highway with front-wheel drive and 16/24 mpg with the optional all-wheel drive. Pricing on the Lux trim starts at $32,495; add $1700 for all-wheel drive. Standard equipment includes leather seats, 19-inch chrome wheels, heated front seats, a rear back-up camera, and park assist system. Chrysler's new Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also standard. A navigation system is a $500 option. By Zach Gale
