Elantra Coupe Priced At $17,445

Hyundai announced the price for the 2013 Elantra Coupe, which will start at a handsome $17,445 for the 6-speed manual edition. The Elantra Coupe is comprised of two trims, the lower-price GS and the higher-equipped SE. For the 6-speed manual, the GS starts at $17,445; an automatic transmission with row-your-own SHIFTRONIC is a thousand dollars more at $18,445. For the SE, the prices for the manual and automatic transmissions are $19,745 and $20,745, respectively. Over the GS, the SE adds 17-inch wheels, a sportier suspension, leather seats and steering wheel, and a sunroof to justify the price increase. Both cars share a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 148 horsepower, the same as in the Elantra sedan.
And only one option package is available, and only on one model: The SE automatic can be ordered with a $2,350 Technology Package that includes a navigation system, rearview camera, premium audio system with 360 watts of power, and dual-zone automatic climate controls. The Elantra Coupe joins its four-doored sibling at the end of the month, but we'll be driving it next week to see if it's a viable pseudo-sporty competitor to the Honda Civic Coupe. Source: Hyundai
