Fiat 500 Abarth 595 50th Anniversary to Debut in Frankfurt
In celebration of the Fiat Abarth 595's 50th anniversary, the Scorpion brand will be showcasing a Limited Series edition inspired by the historic 595 model that originally debuted in 1963. This special edition model will only have 299 production models made. Both the new Limited Series and historic model will be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Sharing the stage with the iconic 595 models is the Abarth 695 Edizione Maserati in "Record Grey," which will also run as a limited edition. Only 49 units will be made in celebration of the manufacturer that began in 1949. The Abarth 695 Assetto Corse performance model will also be on display at the booth, showcasing the expression of technology and performance of the iconic brand. Through the month of June, the Scorpion brand has seen a sales increase of 9 percent, with more than 4,500 units sold. These numbers are thanks to the high performance of the brand at the international level, especially in the UK, German, and Asian markets. International growth for the brand is attributed to the sales that are concentrated outside of Italy and Europe, which have increased by 3 percent in the last year. It can be estimated that as many as 99 of the 299 Abarth 595 Limited Series vehicles will be sent to the Asian markets, specifically to Japan. Source: Fiat
