On the subject of the shrinking mid-size pickup truck market, I'd say less people are buying mid-size pickups because they cost about the same and get about the same MPGs as the full-size trucks. I believe OEMs would sell a lot of compact pickups if got good MPG and were sold for much less than a full-sized pickup.

Sorry to disagree, BUT the Tacoma is a mid-size pickup truck, which means that if the new Colorado is bigger than the Tacoma but smaller than a full-size pickup, then the new Colorado will be what? Small-full-sized, big-mid-sized, or maybe a shrunken-left-out-in-the-rain-full-sized pickup? I don't know, you tell me.
